UGA Rankin Smith Student Athlete Academic Center

 

This 2-story, 35,000 square foot building serves as an academic center for UGA’s student athletes. The assembly center’s massing and fundamental diagram responds to the UGA Athletic Precinct Master Plan by maintaining the existing Stegeman Coliseum as the primary terminus point of a future pedestrian mall. The program includes lounger spaces, smart classrooms, tutor rooms, meeting rooms, offices, and 2 computer labs. Exterior materials include a concrete tile roof, copper flashings, cast stone, and ground face CMU exterior.
