Virginia Tech Football Phase 2 Addition & Renovation

About

Virginia Tech Football Addition & Renovation

The Merryman Center, constructed in the late 1990s, accommodates all new program spaces while largely maintaining the original diagram and character. Physical Performance is located on the lower level, involving renovation and reconfiguration. The new Weight Room Space, with leading-edge equipment and optimized spacing, enhances strength and conditioning with a fast-paced, high-energy regimen emblematic of Hokie Football. The renovation combines two former spaces into a consolidated, bright, energetic area with new indirect LED lighting, performance sports flooring, and state-of-the-art training equipment. Preparation, storage, and serving/dispensing areas are fully equipped to meet all Grab ‘N Go nutritional goals, with sufficient space for players to queue for their post-workout nutrition.
